John Jenkins

Executive Consultant - Capital Advisor

John Jenkins is an experienced lawyer and executive. He currently serves as Counsel to Hagens Berman, a leading plaintiff’s law firm and as the Chairman of Insight Diligence Services. He was previously the President of First Advantage CoreFacts, before and after the sale of CoreFacts to First Advantage Corporation (NASDAQ:FADV), a leading global risk mitigation and business solutions provider. Prior to CoreFacts, he was an executive at Kroll Associates and DSFX, two global investigative consulting firms.

In these roles, he has managed complex investigations including SEC and FTC receiverships, FCPA inquiries, internal investigations, white-collar criminal cases and complex civil matters. His teams have provided a range of investigative and litigation support services (and testifying forensic accounting and computer forensic experts) to over half of the Am Law 100 law firms.

In 2005, he was part of the management team that bought Excel Telecommunications, a Dallas, Texas based wholesale provider of telecommunications services and operator of a nationwide telephone network. Management, sponsored by Denham Capital, purchased Excel in a bankruptcy auction and restructured the company. Mr. Jenkins served as the Chief Administrative Officer and a director at Excel until the company was sold to Platinum Equity in 2010.

Early in his career, Mr. Jenkins served as a Deputy District Attorney in Orange County, California and practiced at law at Hill, Wynne, Troop & Meisinger (which became Akin Gump) and Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton, two full-service law firms. He has served on the board of the USC Associates and represented the athletic department on the USC Board of Governors.

Also as a volunteer, he served as Counsel to the Rampart Independent Review Panel, a body appointed by the Los Angeles Police Commission, which was responsible for reviewing the LAPD’s Board of Inquiry Report and making policy recommendations in the wake of the Rampart corruption scandal. In that capacity, he re-wrote the policies and procedures for the investigation of officer-involved shootings.

Mr. Jenkins earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from USC. He lives in Orange County, California with his wife. They have three adult children.
